Growing up in New York City, food has always been my biggest passion. From the cooking classes that I ‘begged’ my mother to send me to at the age of 11 (or so she says anyway!), to helping in the kitchen of several top NY restaurants as a teenager, I have pretty much always been in the kitchen. I began my culinary journey at the age of 16, working in various renowned restaurants across the city. After over 15 years in the bustling restaurant scene, I decided to pursue a career that would allow me to spend more time with my family.
I studied culinary arts and hospitality management while working in some of New York’s finest establishments. My experiences ranged from fine dining to cozy neighborhood spots, each one teaching me something new and shaping my approach to cooking. My passion for food and cooking continued to grow, leading me to roles where I could express my creativity and hone my skills.
In 2012, a significant change came into my life when I became a single dad. This transition, although challenging, has been the most rewarding experience of my life. Balancing my career with the demands of parenting has been tough, but incredibly fulfilling. My little one, while not always as enthusiastic about my cooking as my restaurant patrons, has been a great source of inspiration and joy.
These days, I focus on creating delicious, wholesome meals that are quick and easy to prepare, perfect for busy parents like myself. I decided to start this blog to share my passion for food and cooking and my constantly evolving collection of savory dishes and baked goods that I have created or adapted over the years.
Looking towards the future, my next challenge is getting my private catering company up and running. This blog is my way of connecting with fellow food enthusiasts and sharing the recipes and cooking tips I’ve gathered over the years.
I hope you enjoy looking through my recipes as much as I have enjoyed creating them. Please feel free to reach out to me for any advice or to offer me any suggestions as you try out my recipes! I’d love to hear how you get on with them!
